Easter 2011 at the Churches in Great Crosby

The Churches of Great Crosby invite you to join them. We welcome you to share with us in worship this Easter time. In our services we will be reliving the momentous events when Jesus was arrested, tried, crucified, buried and rose from the dead. We wish you God's Love, Peace and Salvation through the Cross.

An Easter Prayer

Overcoming the Cross of hunger

Risen Lord,
shed your light on those who live in the shadow of death
and warm the hearts of those who have lost hope,
that they who daily bear the cross of hunger
may find your Promised Land,
and move from slavery to freedom.

As we proclaim your Easter song
help us to die to greed and rise to justice,
to abandon apathy and take up action,
that rich and poor together may travel the road to freedom,
and be restored to your resurrection life.

Amen.

Crossroads — a drop-in centre in Crosby village

The Crossroads Centre is an expression of the local churches working together in the name of Christ as we serve our community of Crosby.

The new Crossroads, situated along the by-pass, has been open for over six years now and has proved extremely popular. As at the original centre, those who serve here are witnesses to the words and work of Christ. Light refreshments are available and there is opportunity to browse through a selection of Christian books and cards. Volunteers are also on hand to discuss, listen and advise, or to point you in the direction of expert help and guidance if needed. Do drop in to see us. You'll be very welcome.
